Marlene Bolotsky

Marlene grew up in Scotland – the land of tweeds, tartans, and quilts – which fostered her love of textiles.  Her work for an ethnic art gallery expanded her interest in tribal imagery and adornment, which have become prominent features of her work. Some of her jackets and coats are made from North and West African indigo while her necklaces incorporate such elements as a carved wood talisman from India, vintage trade beads, and contemporary bone beads for her necklaces.

Marlene lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
